Almatis Japan is enhancing operational efficiency with a new pneumatic conveying system at its Iwakuni plant. This upgrade eliminates the need for manual handling of bagged feedstock, streamlining operations while improving reliability and safety.

The new system also increases feedstock flexibility, enabling the use of a wider range of bagged feedstock and up to 100% utilization in production. This adaptability strengthens supply chain resilience and optimizes production processes.
The project is set for completion in May 2025. Congratulations to the Almatis Japan team for driving this initiative forward. Special thanks to Hironori Kojima (Engineering and Maintenance Manager) and Akinobu Nagai (Project Engineer) for their leadership, as well as to all teams who contributed to the design and implementation.
