Almatis is pleased to announce an upcoming transition in its distribution network for South Africa and the sub-Saharan region. As part of our commitment to strengthening our local presence and ensuring best-in-class service, we will be introducing a new distribution partner.
After many years of valued collaboration, Carst & Walker will gradually discontinue the distribution of Almatis products in this region. We extend our sincere appreciation for their long-standing partnership and support.
To ensure continued reliability, expertise, and customer care, Mineral Zone (Pty) Ltd., in cooperation with the Cofermin Group, will become Almatis’ new distribution partner. The transition is planned to take effect in April 2026, with both parties currently exploring the potential for an earlier start.
Scope of the New Distribution Agreement
The agreement with Mineral Zone covers:
- All Almatis product lines across key markets, including refractories, ceramics, polishing, and building chemicals
- South Africa and all sub-Saharan countries
We are committed to ensuring a smooth and transparent transition for all customers. Carst & Walker will continue to provide full support during the handover period, and Almatis will share updates as the timeline progresses.
