Global Tax Manager

ABOUT THE JOB:

Main Focus Area:

  • Overseeing global corporate tax compliance, statutory filings, and tax reporting activities across Almatis entities

  • Developing and continuously enhancing Almatis’ transfer pricing framework in line with OECD guidelines and local regulations

  • Managing IFRS tax accounting topics, including deferred taxes and tax reporting requirements

  • Coordinating global tax audits, inspections, and inquiries together with external advisors and tax authorities

  • Assessing tax risks and opportunities related to cross-border transactions and international business activities

  • Monitoring intercompany structures, financing arrangements, and transfer pricing mechanisms

  • Driving improvements in tax processes, documentation standards, automation, and digitalization initiatives within Almatis

  • Supporting international tax projects and the implementation of new regulations, including Pillar II, e-invoicing, and e-reporting requirements

  • Tracking international tax law developments and translating regulatory changes into practical business actions

  • Collaborating closely with Finance, Legal, Controlling, Operations, and external stakeholders in an international environment

 

ABOUT YOU:

Education & Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in international tax, preferably within an international manufacturing environment and/or in the tax department of a leading audit/advisory firm

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong expertise in corporate tax, international tax regulations, and OECD-aligned transfer pricing principles
  • Solid understanding of IFRS tax accounting, tax reporting, and financial statement processes
  • Proficiency in SAP Finance, BI tools, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to develop, implement, and maintain tax processes, procedures, controls, and documentation standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical, solution-oriented mindset
  • Effective communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills across functions and countries
  • Ability to collaborate successfully in cross-cultural and cross-functional environments
  • Strategic and process-oriented mindset with a focus on compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement
  • Leadership capability to guide stakeholders and support decision-making processes
  • High level of professionalism, reliability, responsiveness, and attention to detail
  • Fluent English is required; proficiency in German is considered a plus
