Global Treasury Manager
ABOUT THE JOB:
Main Focus Area:
- Develop and implement the global treasury strategy, operating model, policies and governance framework.
- Establish efficient and scalable treasury processes and coordinate their implementation across regional finance teams.
- Lead global liquidity planning, cash management and cash-flow forecasting, ensuring adequate group-wide liquidity.
- Optimize cash visibility, cash pooling, payment processes, working capital and intercompany funding.
- Manage banking relationships and oversee financing activities, including debt facilities, guarantees, letters of credit and factoring.
- Monitor and manage key treasury risks, including foreign exchange, interest rate, liquidity and counterparty risks.
- Oversee global trade finance, receivables and credit risk management in close cooperation with Finance and Commercial teams.
- Coordinate the global corporate insurance program and ensure appropriate documentation, compliance and risk mitigation.
ABOUT YOU:
Education & Work Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline. MBA or Master's degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Corporate Treasury, Cash Management or Corporate Finance, including leadership responsibility within a multinational industrial or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with daily cash management, liquidity forecasting, bank-account administration, debt facilities, FX exposure management and trade-finance instruments.
- Strong expertise in global treasury operations, liquidity management, cash forecasting, working capital optimization, banking structures and financing activities.
- Extensive experience managing trade finance instruments (letters of credit, guarantees, export finance, factoring) and global corporate insurance programs.
- Strong knowledge of liquidity, foreign exchange, interest rate and counterparty risk management, including treasury governance and internal controls.
- Proficient in SAP Finance/Treasury, Treasury Management Systems, BI tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience within an international manufacturing or chemical industry environment is considered a strong advantage.
- Strong banking network and established relationships with banks and financial institutions in Europe.
- Excellent English communication skills and advanced German language skills are required.
