Onyx Classica® Series
White hydrated aluminas are produced for applications where very low impurities and high whiteness are required, such as solid surface and cast polymer production. Almatis white hydrates have the excellent translucency especially required in onyx applications.
Almatis offers three products in the Onyx Classica® Series: OC-1000, OC-1500 and OC-2000. These products are ultra-bright hydrates with exceptional high-purity and whiteness and consistent particle sizes required in cast polymer manufacturing. In addition, they add halogen-free, flame-retardant, smoke-suppressant properties to cast polymer. They are easy to pigment and are compatible with most resin formulations.
Onyx Classica® Applications
OC-1000, OC-1500 and OC-2000 are the whitest hydrated aluminas from Almatis, and are suitable for the production of solid surface castings and the manufacture of granite color chips.
OC-2000 is a very translucent hydrated alumina recommended for cultured onyx formulations.
