Changxin Customer Seminar (June 21, 2007)
The 4th Almatis Technical Seminar on Refractories for south Zhejiang provinces was held in Changxin, Zhejiang. Over 80 participants from near 50 companies enjoyed the informative presentations. Most of them were small and medium sized refractory customers in that area.
Dr. Yoke Fong, Almatis Asia Pacific Commercial Director, began the seminar with an opening speech welcoming all attendees and expressing the goodwill to have further cooperation with the refractory manufacturers. Next Mr. Liu Qiankun, an Almatis distributor and co-organizer of the seminar, and Mr. Yao Lingchun, the secretary of Changxin Refractory Association also gave welcome speeches.
As requested, Mr. Chen Feng, Almatis' China Market Manager gave a presentation on How can Chinese refractory products compete in the world market? Mr. Chen shared Almatis' view on the current market dynamics.
For the remainder of the day long seminar, Mr. Liu Xinyu, Almatis Technical Head RCP Asia Pacific, and his team delivered several presentations on Almatis products and the development trends of refractory products. After the day's presentations, a discussion session allowed Mr. Liu to share his knowledge with the attendees on their interested topics, including performance comparison between tabular and WFA, reactive alumina performance and matrix optimization.
The one day event offered a platform for both Almatis and Changxin refractory manufacturers to understand better how premium alumina can advance Chinese refractory performance. Striving to be closer to our customer, we try to serve them better.
