Reactive Alumina Applications
Reactive Aluminas are a fundamental component of high quality shaped and unshaped (monolithic) refractory products.
The fully ground reactive aluminas are especially beneficial for the production of high performance refractories where defined particle packing, rheology and consistent placement characteristics are as important as the superior physical properties of the final product.
Mono-modal reactive aluminas provide the full flexibility in designing the refractory matrix particle size distribution. Multi-modal reactive aluminas can further enhance the performance by optimising the particle size distribution and due to the intensive homogenisation of the super-fine components during co-grinding. CTC 50 and CTC 55 have advantages especially for self-flowing castables. E-SY 1000 and E-SY 2000 contribute to a low dilatancy of castables, which makes them easy to use and to handle.
